Life After a Hurricane

We have seen some numbers and a few pictures of what Hurricane Charlie did to Florida but it's hard to understand without actually going through it. Even after Hurricane Juan last summer and its 158 km/h winds. • Buzz Bruggeman of ActiveWords (and speaker at Zap) is blogging from Orlando at …
Even Eagles Need a Push

I was looking over some older books of mine when I came across David McNally's "Even Eagles Need a Push". This book was purchased for a workshop study during my college days. • I'm not much for the self-help books and is probably a good reason why I never opened it until this past week. I took …

Trucks pass each other all the time but what happens when they try but can't? • On the way over to Halifax this weekend to see a couple IMAX movies, this Irving truck pulled out to pass but was faced with an entertaining challenge. Both trucks were perfectly side by side for about 5 minutes …

It was setup in a typical interview type scenario where the one asking the questions didn't seem to know a thing while the other acted as the genius. This seemed …

I got a few new DVD's this week and it seems that the warnings at the beginning are getting longer and longer. I can't skip them or can I even pause them if I decide to read it. I'm forced to sit and watch warning after warning, each and every time I decide to watch the DVD.

I believe that hypnosis really works if the those are willing to be hypnotized but is it possible to be hypnotized for life? Last night, Dad and some family members paid to be cured from smoking. Something that he has been doing all his life.
American Idol Voting

Why public voting doesn't work. • I've been a sucker for reality shows lately and one that I have been watching weekly is American Idol. The idea behind this is that each week, the contestants will sing and then public will vote on their favorites (average of 4 million votes). Who ever has the …
Another's Misfortune

Is it wrong to laugh at another's misfortune? • Watching somewhat of an inspiring action but yet an embarrassing video on Metafilter I came across this video in the replies recorded from the live Christmas Day Call-For-Help-A-Ton. • CFH on TechTV, I believe is usually recorded in advance but …
