Finally, the keyboard I have been looking and waiting for was released today with the announcement of the new iMac.
As a tablet user, desk top space is limited and with the extra space the numeric pad takes up, it forces the keyboard to be placed on an angle to be at all usable. It's just not possible to have the keyboard centered in front of you and not have the tablet an arms length away.
I get along just great without the extra keys while using the Macbook, so why do I need them when plugged into an external display?
As an added bonus, having an external keyboard with the same style and key layout will also be a welcomed change. Product review to follow when it arrives (Apple estimates 3-5 weeks).
added note: I think the word “command” on the key instead of the Apple logo makes much more sense.
