Yes, another way of bombarding the public with billboard ads...

Advertisers are really clever, aren't they? Here in my home country, public transport vehicle owners are paid to mount oversized Coke bottles on top of their vehicles. And now, perhaps because of advertisers' desperation to publicize products by all possible means, they now turn to earth-mapping software.

I first heard about Virtual Earth while watching the BBC's technology program Click. It was mentioned in that program that Microsoft actually gives advertisers an opportunity to place ads anywhere on Virtual Earth, so don't be surprised to see the Ford logo on the roof of a stadium.

Oh well, it's just so amazing what advertisers think of nowadays.
