Still looking forward to the release of this short independent film but there seems to be other projects taking up Brians time. AnimWatch has posted some updates about the status and delays of production.
We are huge fans of Brian Taylor's Rustboy here at AnimWatch. So, it was with concern that we watched this intriguing project return to a part-time when the full time funding ran out. Weekly updates turned into monthly updates, and then stopped altogether. It was beginning to take on the well worn patina of so many abandoned projects, and we feared the worst.
Rustboy has slowly evolved into a number of different side-projects over the years. I still continue to work on the film whenever I can, mainly for my own personal enjoyment. However, I'm taking some time off the film to focus my attention on developing the first in a series of Rustboy children's books. I am also collaborating with Android8 & UNKLBrand to produce a selection of quality Rustboy licensed products including vinyl toys and silk screened T-shirts amongst other things. I will post more information at the Rustboy site as the projects develop.
