When I received a newsletter from PhotoshopCafe talking about a new photoshop contest for a fictional movie poster, my head just started thinking of ideas and within a week I had stuff sketched down on paper.
With tons of Photoshop themes written down including Accented Edges, Ocean Ripple, Solarize, this is what I finalized on for two ideas.
Threshold Perspective
A fun little illustation of two people looking down at a future world. I also had some fun and included all the code names and various other Photoshop related terms to the credits.
There were 4 photos used purchased from istockphoto.com: Futurescapes V11, Demure, Black 'n White - Man and Fifties Style Retro Rocket 02.
Torn Edges
To try something completely different, the second one was created only using Photoshop. Inspired by this tutorial and by this one (not to mention a number of photos of myself to get the right pose), I started sketching and painting.
Update 1/21/2005:
The winners have been posted on PhotoshopCafe.com.

Those are pretty cool Stephen. I especially lke the Threshold one. Torn Edges looks more than a little like the dude is holding his Johnson ;-)

That is very cool! I was just looking for movieposters to mess with in Photoshop and didn't see it wasn't real at first. Very well done!
