I have been constantly amazed at how fast the Wikipedia is updated and it had me thinking that for specific topics, the Wiki is becoming more valuable then a Google search for at least half of everything I search for. It has information on anything and everything and it saves you the trouble of filtering out the useless stuff.
This may be just a generic caution or others also think this way because the Wiki information about Hurricane Katrina is updating so fast that they had a warning the day of the event that read:
ATTENTION: Residents of areas affected by Hurricane Katrina are advised to seek advice and information from local authorities through television and radio. Information on Wikipedia may not be current or applicable to your area.
Do not decide whether to leave your house, shelter, or vehicle based on Wikipedia information.
