I mentioned ACDSee 5.0 here before, but now they are up to version 7. The software continues to add new features expanding what it's capable of. I really wanted something to index my increasing number of photo CDs and version 7 offered this.
The idea is that after creating a disk, you index all the photos into a database of thumbnails. You can view your entire library and when you want the original full size photo, the software will tell you what CD to find it on.
You can read my longer full length review found on the silverorange stuff site.
Other alternatives I tried/considered were Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 Starter Edition, Picasa and Portfolio 6 (however I lost my serial number and couldn't get it installed)
