The more I use levels on a daily basis, the more powerful levels and curves become. A simple adjustment layer can be a quick and painless method to restore color the way it was intended.
I recently wrote my own steps for using the levels command and although this is similar, it offers new techniques to determine what should be black and white.
This technique is a contrast/tone and color correction technique all in one. Once you run through this, you will see how just about any image can be improved and you will use this technique many times over.
