Half Life 2 is just around the corner and it has many pricing up new systems to get the best quality from what looks to be the best shooter game ever.
I plan on only buying a new tower to replace my 800mhz and keeping my current 19 inch display but a recent post over at The JAFT Journal got me searching for monitors. (just for fun of course :)
I've seen the triple before on Dave Chalk but how about a dual or even an extreme quad.
Prices are way too high for me but I'd probably consider the dual in a few years when the prices come down. Amazing and Extreme.

Those displays look awesome, but they are way too expensive. Why can't they just take 2 $500 screens, and attach them together, for a cost of $1000 CDN. $1700 USD is just too much. You'd think you could save money, since you'd only need one stand.

"cool" always comes with a bigger price tag.
You're also probably paying for the fact you have a dual display on one monitor cable. I can't image that requiring a video card that supports 3-4 displays. The fewer cables / less desktop space with the single stand has got to be worth something.
Is it even possible to get a good 18 inch for $500 CND?
It's been a few years since I seen the demo on Dave Chalk playing a flight simulator on the triple display. All games should support multiple display views.

New 15" dual LCD display with a retail price of $799. It is very cool.

This product is totally obsolete now. Take a look at any of the arrays from CineMassiv e Displays
Their Triple Monitor Displays have much better specs, cost less, come with multi-monitor software and an excellent warranty. No brainer.
Probably want to feast on the MasterPlex too.
