Time to do some late spring cleaning and get rid of more then half the fonts I have installed. Over the past year I have managed to gather 1,022 fonts from installing software, buying font packages, from the web etc. Way too many and Windows still does not provide an easy way to manage them.
Something as simple as a directory tree to organize font families would be perfect but we are still required to install all fonts into a single folder.
I don't want to be required to buy additional software to manage fonts. Windows should already provide the ability to activate/deactivate fonts and a way to group them into related categories separating frequently used fonts from those I may only use once.
Hopefully after I'm done going through and pulling out fonts I never use I'll be down to a couple hundred max (including all variants of each family).
