During the Zap Conference I heard Buzz Bruggeman talk about his product ActiveWords and he started off with an elevator pitch. My definition of this would be explaining something for the duration of an elevator ride with enough details that it will be useful.
This is one thing I have always had trouble with regarding the RPHA. I have been developing this online simulation game for the past 5 years but it's near impossible to explain and have people understand. Seeing is believing and almost everybody thinks we're off in left field until seeing the power, commitment and involvement behind this creation. It actually became difficult enough that instead of trying to explain it, I got simple business cards saying "here's the website, check it out because it's that hard to explain".
Today I was put to the test with an interview by Matt Rainnie on CBC Radio. A difficult task with out the aid of visuals and demos but we will see how it goes Wednesday afternoon when it's currently scheduled to air on Mainstreet.
Anyway, this is what I thought of for a quick 30 second description.
The RPHA is a complete fantasy hockey simulation game based on fictional players and statistics. Game results are determined based on who is on your team and the line combinations you set.

Did you happen to get a recording of your interview?

The interview ended up getting delayed due to some time sensitive material. I'll be sure to get a copy of it when it does air.
