Fear Factor earned its name last night to the point were even my knees were weak just watching it.
The Stunt:
Each person would be strapped down into a chair while they would be pierced 20 times with 10 needles (in and then out of the skin with each one getting thicker to the point where it was the size of a small nail)
It was not about the fact of receiving a needle, it was the fact that your looking at somebodies arm with 10 needles going down from the shoulder to their elbow.
Two days later after the stunt on their 4th and final day you could still see the 20 holes.

Wow, that's intense... I mean... the holes will heal, but making people take actual physical damage is pretty extreme.
Usually with all the safety harnesses and precautions they take for every dangerous stunt, you'd think hurting people was completely out of the question.

but is it extreme pain though? A needle doesn't hurt that much but to think about it while they do it over and over or to look at them sitting there and seeing the sizes.

OK I agree things like that on TV where the prize money is like half a million dollars, alot of people wouldn't care, have any of you seen the fear factors they hold here in summerside for $100. What some people will do for $100 in summerside is crazy. At Ansons bar at Slemon Park 2 weeks ago, the guy took the 3 finalists and snapped a really thick elastic across their throats. The Blood was rising right to the surface of the skin, and he kept going 20 times each. They all took it and then what they had to do to decided the winner was each had to hold their breath underneath ice cold water, which didn't sund bad at all, until the guy dumped a can of cigarette ashes and butts in it, and then people from the tables emptied their ash trays in there....and this was all for $100... imagine what these guys would do if they had the chance to win $500,000

Fear Factor is only $50,000. (After the needles they had to eat a block of moldy cheese covered in maggots)

My friend was at the one where they had their necks snapped with an elastic. He also took 11 lashes with a thin leather belt to his backside. He told me he couldn't sit down without pain for days.
