"Keyboard Independent Touch Typing (KITTY) is a wearable data input device. A sensor worn on the each finger and three sensors on each thumb let you turn your hands into a Qwerty-style keyboard."
example: Each sensor on the thumb represents a row on the keyboard. If I use my middle finger on my right hand and press the middle sensor on my thumb it would generate the letter K where the top sensor would produce the letter I. It sounds difficult to use but the live demo yesterday with the Glove-based prototype on TechTV seemed to be very usable with slow but decent speeds.
There is a flash interactive demo available at kittytech.com that I recommend trying to see the concept.
